Taipei, April 14, 2020 — iMotion Group today announced a strategic partnership with THLight, a leader in indoor positioning technology, to launch a contact history tracking solution that enterprises can use to mitigate the coronavirus threat. This solution uses two-way communication Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) beacons integrated with an exclusive sensor technology, allowing business owners to obtain a detailed contact history analysis of each employee in the workplace. This information gives enterprises the ability to respond quicker and more efficiently if any confirmed cases occur in the workplace, helping minimize the potential negative effects or losses.

This contact history tracking solution can be quickly adopted in a low-cost and efficient leasing way by simply adding a BLE beacon to each employee or visitor’s work badge. Using QR codes to pair each beacon and every employee’s information, business owners can quickly get a comprehensive analysis report of a specific employee’s contact history within the high risk distance of 1.5 meters and if they spent over 5 minutes in the targeted area over the past 14 days.

There are two options for business owners to deploy this contact history tracking solution. The first option only requires the employees to wear BLE beacons on their work badges. Business owners can then output the employee’s complete contact history and filter the safe list when one has been confirmed to have COVID-19. The second option is to integrate the Bluetooth receivers to allow business owners to conduct queries of contact histories and receive reports from the backend system at anytime and anywhere. In addition, the BLE beacons can be put in or near frequently used meeting rooms, facilities or equipment, for easy identification of areas that need to be disinfected to reduce transmitting the virus. Using the second option can also prevent losing contact history data in the event the BLE beacons are damaged or lost.
