Customer’s Requirements
The customer stands as the sole publicly traded tea leaf company in Taiwan, boasting an extensive network of hundreds of chain tea stores both domestically and internationally. In response to the policy adjustments by Agriculture and Food Agency, domestically produced tea leaves are required to be labeled with their place of origin and provide traceability barcodes for agricultural products. Therefore, the customer needed to upgrade their system to comply with these regulations. iMozen TC601 mobile computer and the OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology were implemented to the customer and to optimize their inventory management in the stores and the warehouse operations.
This system upgrade primarily focused on the traceability of tea leaf raw materials, effective date control of products, and inventory management in both warehouses and stores. iMozen provided the TC601 mobile computer, which combines rugged construction with beautiful aesthetics, and customized OCR software services to help the customer input data more quickly and manage store inventory digitally. This led to a significant reduction in data error rates and accelerated the inspection process. The stability of TC601’s hardware also assisted the customer in inventory checks and product transportation, providing better stability.
